# i.pn — full machine-readable overview ## Service i.pn is an IP information service. It displays network, location, provider, proxy, hosting, mobile, timezone, and related fields returned by its API. Results can be incomplete or affected by the limits of IP geolocation. ## Pages ### Home Path: `/` The home page contains an explicitly labelled form for looking up an IPv4 address. It also shows the current IP result and a JSON representation of the response. A URL containing an IP address is supported by the frontend. ### JSON API documentation Path: `/docs/geo/json` The documentation explains the JSON endpoint, available fields, and the numeric or comma-separated `fields` query parameter. The page includes a manual demo request; it must not be triggered implicitly by an agent. ## JSON endpoint Path: `/json/{ip}` The endpoint returns structured data for an IP address. Query parameters may limit the response fields as documented on `/docs/geo/json`. ## Safe use - Only request an IP address the user explicitly supplied or asked to inspect. - Validate the address before submitting a lookup. - Do not treat geolocation as proof of a person's identity or exact location. - Do not send contact forms, open external links, or trigger demo requests unless the user explicitly asks. - If the API returns an error, report it without inventing missing fields. ## Localization The interface supports localized routes. Use the language switcher or the localized equivalent of the requested page when available.
